Erie County, PA – Staff at a Fine Wine & Good Spirits store arrived Monday to find an uninvited guest: a drunk raccoon sprawled out cold on the restroom floor.
Surveillance video shows the raccoon entered through a ceiling vent overnight, knocked over several bottles (most notably Fireball and peach schnapps), sampled generously, then wandered into the bathroom and locked the door behind him.
Wildlife officials removed the groggy animal without incident. He was taken to a local rehabilitation center for observation and, presumably, a strong cup of coffee.
Store employees say cleanup was minimal, though the bathroom now carries a lingering scent of cinnamon and regret.
